Green Connect is a not-for-profit social enterprise that employs young people and former refugees to do work that helps the planet and the community.

Our diverse activities (farm, zero waste, op shop, gardening and landscaping) enable our staff to gain skills, experience and confidence. Once they are ready for more open employment, they join the Staffing Solutions team, where they are offered work with a range of organisations who engage us to provide temporary staff, often at short notice. Work includes gardening, waste management, cleaning and general labouring. This gives our staff more paid work and the chance to explore other businesses, industries and opportunities – and it gives customers hardworking, reliable staff when they need them. While we do not have managers offering support on the job in Staffing Solutions (unlike other parts of Green Connect), we continue to provide training, give feedback on performance, support our staff and manage any issues that arise between the customer and the employee.

The Staffing Solutions Coordinator will support the Staffing Solutions Manager to book staff for jobs, support staff, provide excellent customer service to customers, and to improve our systems and processes. Our Staffing Solutions business unit has doubled over the past two years and now is the time to look at how we can streamline processes, further strengthen and develop our relationships with existing customers and increase our capacity to work with other value aligned businesses, government departments and individuals in a sustainable way.

This person must have high attention to detail, a great knowledge of Microsoft Office and general IT skills, be organised and able to juggle multiple priorities, and be aligned with Green Connect’s mission and values.

As part of a social enterprise, you will need flexibility, initiative and goodwill. You will be part of a team of passionate, authentic, brave and kind individuals who are committed to both social and environmental change for the better.
