Green Connect Farm Needs your Help

Help us continue supporting former refugees and young people to become work-ready while growing fresh produce in the heart of Wollongong.

With your support, we can keep our urban farm thriving – a place of connection, learning and hope for the whole community.

Donate to the Farm

Your donation helps Green Connect Farm thrive – strengthening our local food system and equipping former refugees and young people with the skills and confidence to become work-ready.

Your Donation Grows More Than Food

At Green Connect Farm, we believe that real change happens when people come together.

Every donation – big or small – helps nurture something more than just 11 acres of farmland. It builds a place where former refugees and young people gain skills and discover new opportunities, where the next generation learns about sustainable farming, and where the community reconnects with local food and the land.

Your support is an investment in a better future.

Together, we can grow a better world – starting right here in the Illawarra.

Why Your Donation Matters

Imagine a young person or former refugee stepping onto the farm, unsure of their future, and finding purpose, skills and the confidence to build a better life. The pride of growing food that feeds their community.

Picture a family unpacking their weekly box of fresh, organically grown produce, knowing it was grown just kilometres from their home. Envision a community coming together – hands in the soil, sharing knowledge and growing something bigger than themselves. A future built on equal opportunity, a strong local food system and a healthier planet.

This is the impact of your support. Together, we can ensure Green Connect Farm continues to thrive for years to come.

“Green Connect Farm is such a wonderful experience and enterprise. Informative tour, cute animals, beautiful grounds, great produce. But most importantly, a brilliant system that supports refugees and young people needing work experience and a bit of support and hope. So inspiring!”

SIMON, FARM VISITOR

“Loved visiting Green Connect with my 2 year old daughter and baby for the farm tour. We have been getting our Veggie Box from the farm for a while, so it was great seeing where everything is grown and hearing more about the chemical-free, respectful and permaculture-inspired processes used there.”

CLAIRE, FARM VISITOR

“My family and I love buying from a local community-based not-for-profit company. No packaging. No plastic. We love eating what is in season and connecting to nature’s rhythm. We love what you all do Green Connect!”

MEET ROBERT SERVINE

“It’s been an unusual path that’s led me here. I grew up in a poor neighbourhood in South Seattle, then got out and travelled the world – it completely changed my perspective. I returned home, started my own farm, studied positive psychology and ran a program hiring homeless youth to work on an organic farm.”

“When I moved to Australia, I jumped at the opportunity to work at Green Connect because it encompassed my passion for helping both people and the planet.”

There’s a quote from Mother Teresa that says, ‘Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.’ “

“There’s so much room in the world for improvement, and if you’re a part of that, welcome.”

MEET EH MOO

“I was born on the Thailand-Burma border, so Australia was my first country to call home. I spent 17 years in a refugee camp. Everything was basic just to survive. I am happy that I am here and safe.”

Working at Green Connect makes me feel good about myself. I used to feel very stressed and lonely, not able to find a job, but working has helped my emotional wellbeing by giving me hope and a future, and I now feel part of the community.”

“In the future, I was hoping maybe I can help to rebuild the country and take the knowledge that I learnt from Green Connect there, like how to grow things, how to care for the soil, how to look after the environment.”
