What volunteering looks like
Most of our volunteers join us on the farm, where the experience is simple, social, and hands-on.
We usually run volunteer days on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 2pm. It’s a regular crew, so over time you get to know the same people and build real connections week after week.
The work varies depending on what’s happening on the farm. You might be digging new beds, weeding, planting, helping care for animals, installing irrigation, or getting involved in other seasonal tasks. There’s always something to do, and we match tasks to different levels of experience and capability.
It’s also a beautiful, peaceful place to spend time. Many people come for the chance to get outside, slow down a little, and enjoy being in green space.
More than anything, it’s about being part of a community. You’re contributing to something meaningful while learning more about how food is grown and how a working farm operates.
We do have some admin and behind the scenes roles, but these are limited. Most volunteering happens on the farm.
