Are you interested in coming to work for Green Connect? If you are either a former refugee, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, or aged between 16 – 25, and want to do work that matters, within a team that genuinely supports each other and gives everyone a chance, we’d love to hear from you.

Youth and refugee employment

If you are a former refugee or under 25 (or both), and want to do work that matters, within a team that genuinely supports each other and gives everyone a chance, we’d love to hear from you. Volunteer with Green Connect
Green Connect draws on the skills, commitment and generosity of volunteers to:
- Interview, support, and connect with our staff to help them meet their employment goals
- Help out in our op shop in Unanderra (including processing donated goods)
- Help out at our farm in Warrawong
- Translate, particularly Farsi, French, Burmese, Karen, Dari, Tamil, Amharic, Arabic and Somali
- Provide specialist skills that help us develop our business
We welcome new volunteers on a regular basis to provide a briefing, screening and induction. If you would like to be involved, please fill in our short expression of interest form. We also run monthly Dig Days at the farm and the occasional Community Day. Join the rest of the community on our farm to see what we do, work the land and share a meal. Buy from Green Connect
Buying from us is the best way to get involved and support our work. We grow and sell fruit, vegetables, herbs and free range meat from our Fair Food farm, through weekly fruit and vegetable boxes, one-off meat orders and commercial arrangements with cafes, restaurants, hotels and caterers. We consult to businesses, councils and event organisers, helping to minimise the amount of waste going to landfill, through our Zero Waste services. We also manage waste at events to ensure as much as possible is composted and recycled.
We have reliable, hard-working staff available via labour hire for jobs in horticulture, agriculture, cleaning, waste management, construction, event assistance and general labour. And we’re expanding our services
all the time, so if you can help us to employ more former refugees and young people, and care for people and planet in doing so, we’d love to hear from you!
Donate to Green Connect
To grow our outcomes, create more jobs in a region with too few, and become fully financially sustainable through trade, we plan to scale two of our products: composting food and garden organics and fair food.
Right now, we need donations – large and small – to work with to achieve this. Donations are tax deductible.
