Donations Needed

People in our community are doing it tough, and we have responded by home-delivering tailored care packages that people can buy or donate.

More than 2000 requests for help have been received, including through charity partners like Wollongong Homeless Hub and Red Cross.

We put the word out that we were running out of items that people need most at the end of July and have been overwhelmed by the response!

Our building is now filled to capacity with donated items which means we’ve had to postpone the collection of new requests. If you’d like you can still put your details in the form below and we’ll arrange to pick up items as we need them. Please note that this list will be updated on a regular basis.

If you have questions, please call us on 02 4243 1537 (voicemails are checked daily) or email [email protected].

Drop off vs pick up

The NSW government has specifically advised that they do not want residents dropping items to op shops or charity bins, as you should be leaving your house as little as possible to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Leaving the house to obtain goods for vulnerable people is allowed, however, so we can come and pick these items up from you. Following advice we have had from phone calls with state and federal authorities and the local police, we will be extra cautious about doing this in a COVIDsafe manner, including having contactless pick-ups (you leave the items at your front door), wearing masks and using hand sanitiser.

Thank you for your support.

Request a pick up for donated items

We will be in touch with you about a day and time that we can pick items up. Please note that this may take several days, depending on how many requests we have, where they are and how many staff and volunteers are available. We may not be able to pick all items up but will do our best. .
