Private Farm Tour

We invite you and your group to join us for a private tour at Green Connect farm!

Come and see what happens when you take 11 acres of scrub, a team of passionate hardworking staff and volunteers, then add permaculture and organic farming principles.

Your group will explore our thriving market gardens, where we grow the majority of our seasonal produce, our productive food forest that produces fruit and nuts, and meet and feed our free-range sheep, goats, pigs and chickens.

We’ll work with you to figure out what topics and activities you’re most interested in and weave those into a fun, interactive and thought-provoking experience for your whole group.

Private Farm Tours are great for garden clubs, scout/guide groups, play groups, a big bunch of friends and family, or any group of people wanting to experience the magic of the Green Connect farm. Bookings essential – contact [email protected]

Description

Before you book, please consider the following:

  • The site is a working farm and visitors must participate in a safety briefing before entering. We ask all tour participants to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of their tour to ensure we start on time.
  • The terrain at the farm is particularly steep and slippery in parts. Though we do take it slowly, the tour involves a moderately strenuous walk and is not accessible for prams, wheelchairs, or people with moderate mobility issues. See the video below to ensure you will be able to walk the site.
  • Plants love rain and so do we! We don’t cancel tours in wet weather unless there is a dangerous storm. Rain (and mud!) is all part of the fun.
  • Allergen advice: Our farm is home to domestic animals as well as bees, wasps, and macadamia trees. Please pack an EpiPen if allergic and keep it with you at all times.
  • To ensure compliance with current NSW Government restrictions, we have put in place a range of measures to keep tour participants safe. If you have visited a COVID-19 hotspot within 14 days of your tour or if you come down with cold or flu-like symptoms, we will ask you to contact us and stay home.

All tour participants must:

  • Wear enclosed shoes or boots (no thongs or sandals allowed) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants and gumboots are recommended.
  • Bring a hat and sunscreen or rain gear, depending on the weather forecast.
  • Bring a refillable water bottle.
