I have some fairly big news to share…
After four and a half years at Green Connect, I have decided it is time for someone new to take over as General Manager. The work that we do to create a cleaner, greener, fairer, kinder world is incredibly meaningful and not easy. The last year or two have been particularly challenging, but I look around me and see a strong, capable team and some stability in our various business units, and it just feels like the right moment for me to make way for the next person to lead into the future.
There is so much to be proud of in my time in this role, and it has been a privilege to work with and for some of the smartest, most caring and decent human beings I have ever met, who achieve so much for people and the planet.
To give the organisation enough time to find someone amazing with new energy and ideas, I will be around until late July, and will then consider what I do next. The search for the next General Manager has begun (information here if you know someone great) and I will keep doing everything I can to ensure that Green Connect is set up for continued success.
Thank you for being part of Green Connect’s story. Every customer, supporter, funder, employee and volunteer contributes something unique to this amazing community organisation, and builds on what came before to make it even better. The next General Manager will too.
