IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before you book:
- The site is a working farm and visitors must participate in a safety briefing before entering.
- The terrain at the farm is particularly steep and slippery in parts. The guided tour involves a moderately strenuous walk and is not accessible for prams, wheelchairs, or people with moderate mobility issues. Infants will need to be carried.
- Plants love rain and so do we! We don’t cancel events in wet weather unless there is a dangerous storm. Rain (and mud!) is all part of the fun.
- Allergen advice: Our farm is home to domestic animals as well as bees, wasps, and macadamia trees. Please pack an EpiPen if allergic and keep it with you at all times.
All farm visitors must:
- Wear enclosed shoes or boots (no thongs or sandals allowed) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants are recommended.
- Bring a hat and sunscreen or rain gear, depending on the weather forecast.
Private Farm Tour
We invite you and your group to join us for a private tour at Green Connect farm!
Just 13 minutes’ drive south of Wollongong CBD you’ll discover Green Connect Farm, an 11-acre award-winning urban farm. Green Connect Farm follows organic farming and permaculture principles to produce vegetables, fruit, herbs, nuts, eggs, honey and free-range meat.
In addition to our public programs, we are pleased to offer customised tours for private groups to join us to explore the farm, meet our animals and learn about sustainable urban food production. We would be delighted to tailor a visit to cover topics and activities you’re most interested in, and to create a fun, interactive and thought-provoking experience for your whole group.
Private Farm Tours are great for garden clubs, scout/guide groups, playgroups, a big bunch of friends and family, or any group of people wanting to experience the magic of the Green Connect farm.
Pricing details:
- 1.5 hour Private Tour around the Green Connect Farm:
- Weekdays: $400 for up to 25 participants, or $16 per person for groups over 25
- Weekends: $450 for up to 25 participants, or $18 per person for groups over 25
- Add-ons:
- 30-minute Hands-on Composting or Worm Farming skills workshop – $100 for up to 25 participants, or $4 extra per person for groups over 25
- Hire of Outdoor Covered Space (exclusive use, perfect for team meetings) – $50/hour
- Tea and coffee station (self-serve, basic teas & instant coffee, ceramic mugs) – $50 for up to 25 participants, or $2 extra per person for groups over 25
- Hire of Children’s Garden (exclusive use, great for play or picnics):
- With loose-parts play for children – $100 for first hour, $50/hour thereafter
- Without loose-parts play – $50/hour
- Tour or Discussion with Market Garden Coordinator, Farm Manager or General Manager – $50-100
- A 10% discount is available for non-profit and community groups.

Cancellation Policy – Private Farm Tours are:
- Fully refundable up to 7 days before the tour date and time.
- Transferable or 50% refundable up to 3 days before the tour date and time.
- Not transferable or refundable within 3 days of the tour date and time, unless under exceptional circumstances and at Green Connect’s discretion.
- If Green Connect must cancel for any reason, including extreme weather conditions or changing COVID restrictions, we will transfer your booking or issue a full refund.
