Farewell & Thank you James

We love to celebrate great people at Green Connect, and this week we’re celebrating James!

James came to Green Connect in August 2020. Like most new supported staff, he tried out roles in several areas, including at the newly opened Op Shop in Unanderra. He then started delivering veg boxes. After the first few shifts, he took to it like a duck to water and hasn’t looked back since!

James has become one of the most dependable and longest-standing delivery drivers we’ve had here at Green Connect. We’ve seen his capabilities grow and his confidence soar. And we’ve loved his friendly and laid-back manner, as well as his consistency and reliability.

Last week was James’ final week delivering veg boxes for Green Connect. He is moving on to a full-time role in a field he is passionate about. We’re sad to see James go, but we couldn’t be more excited for him. And we’re thrilled to have played a role in his employment journey.

Green Connect exists to create jobs and supported employment pathways for young people and former refugees encountering barriers to employment.

This is why we do it. Congratulations James! We’re all so proud of the journey you’ve been on with Green Connect.

Enjoy!
