New Beginnings at the farmWe were super exited to officially launch our sustainable work skills training program at the farm last week! In partnership with Kiama Community Colleges and the Red Cross, this program will see twenty former refugees and young people complete accredited horticultural training in a supportive and inspiring environment. Our farm is our ‘living classroom’ and we are trying to make this experience as hands on as possible, with the aim of making the content accessible for people with barriers to traditional education settings. We’re certain that this crew will develop the knowledge and skills to help them excel in the workforce and wider community! Thanks Cal Champagne Green Connect Farm Manager |

What’s that in my box: Turnips are a great source of vitamin C, helping, to boost your immune system as we head into winter. They can be eaten raw (in a salad), pickled, boiled, grilled, or sautéed. Although they can taste a little bitter raw, cooking turnips with seasoning or coupling them with some garlic is a great idea as this root veg absorbs flavour very well! For more information on how to store & cook any of our vegetables, visit: https://draxe.com/ and type in the veggie you’re looking for.
