Are you looking for a unique party option that celebrates sustainability and supports the local community? Book a Green Connect Farm party and celebrate in nature, play and burn some energy in the fresh air.

Our 11-acre award-winning urban farm makes for a unique and memorable birthday party venue where children learn how food is grown. A standard three-hour party includes a guided tour, with a visit to the market gardens to touch, smell and taste the food grown on site, followed by a chance to meet, pat and feed the farm’s friendly free-range goats, sheep, chickens and pigs.

There will also be plenty of time for free-play in the children’s garden, where you can enjoy a BYO meal, and enjoy nature-play activities such as our sand pit, mud kitchen and our loose parts play area.

Anyone in the Illawarra looking for a fantastic, unique venue for their children’s birthday party, I can’t recommend @greenconnect_ farm enough! I hosted my twins 7th birthday there and it was such a great experience!

There’s lots of animals the children are allowed to feed and interact with, including the cutest baby goats! A mud kitchen, sandpit so much space to play and explore, and an excellent party area with great kitchen facilities.

The staff are so lovely and kind to the children and I actually can’t express how amazing this little hidden gem is!

THE DETAILS

Our standard 3-hour party includes:

  • 1.5-hour guided Green Connect Farm tour, including:

    • Visit the market gardens and food forests.

    • Meet, pat and feed the friendly free-range goats, sheep, chickens and pigs.

    • Touching, smelling, tasting – a hands on experience.

  • 1.5-hours free-time in our covered meeting space and children’s garden, including:

    • Dedicated party space and seating for up to 20 people (standing room up to 30 people), fridge for storing food and a tea/coffee station.

    • Free time in the children’s garden, including activities for children (e.g. sand pit, mud kitchen and recycled loose parts play area).

Logistics & Pricing:

  • Cost:

    $450 for bookings Monday—Sunday; $500 for Sunday bookings

    Full payment is required at least 7 days prior to the party date.

  • Capacity:
    30-person maximum on all parties (contact us to discuss options for larger parties).
    Up to 20 children (aged under 14) maximum.

PLEASE READ OUR ESSENTIAL INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING

  • The site is a working farm and visitors must participate in a safety briefing before entering.
  • The terrain at the farm is particularly steep and slippery in parts. The guided tour involves a moderately strenuous walk and is not accessible for prams, wheelchairs, or people with moderate mobility issues. Infants will need to be carried. If anyone in your group isn’t able to participate in the tour, they are welcome to stay in the party space during the tour time.
  • Plants love rain and so do we! We don’t cancel events in wet weather unless there is a dangerous storm. Rain (and mud!) is all part of the fun.
  • Allergen advice: Our farm is home to domestic animals as well as bees, wasps, and macadamia trees. Please pack an EpiPen if allergic and keep it with you at all times.

All farm visitors must:

  • Wear enclosed shoes or boots (no thongs or sandals allowed) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants are recommended.
  • Bring a hat and sunscreen or rain gear, depending on the weather forecast.

Cancellations and refunds – Farm Party bookings are:

  • Fully refundable or transferable up to 7 days before the party date and time.
  • Transferable or 50% refundable up to 3 days before the party date and time.
  • Not transferable or refundable within 3 days of the party date and time, unless under exceptional circumstances and at Green Connect’s discretion.
